Women’s McKenzie Friend and Blog Thingamybob is coming to an end……..but the spirit of our wonderful organization will still continue in the form of all the women we have supported on their journey.

As I wrote in one of my first blogs dated 6th September 2021, I continue to believe the context of all our lives is integral to our world as any specifics and so I covered issues within family law cases such as Domestic Abuse, Coercive Control, Child Safeguarding, Safety and Risks, Post court navigation, Human Rights, Women’s Rights, Health, Trauma and Socio-Political structures.

I have met many wonderful women during my time with Women’s McKenzie Friend. They have inspired me with their courage, intuition, humour, strength, determination and love for their children. Women’s lives and voices are often misrepresented, ignored, undermined and met with blatant threats and aggression if they dare to speak and assert their views. This will never change unless we challenge those structures in every way that we can.

WOMEN ARE AMONGST THE BRAVEST OF HUMAN BEINGS AND THEY WILL ALWAYS HAVE MY ADMIRATION. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE AMAZING WOMEN I HAVE SHARED TIME WITH AND STOOD SIDE BY SIDE WITH IN THE LIONS DEN THAT IS CALLED THE FAMILY COURT. GLADIATORS TO THE END. ——- THERE IS STRENGTH IN TRUTH!

Once again thank you to all the women who have come through the open doors of Women’s McKenzie Friend. I am all the wiser and human for it.
